Cedar wrapped Maduro goodness 5Vegas Artisan Initial Thoughts I got these on a "CI" special. They are cedar wrapped maduros beauties. Physical examination reveals no soft spots, a little veininess, but nothing to write home about. Smell test... mmmm.... sweet... earthy :). The Smoke
I clip the cap, no issues with cap breakage. I toast the foot, light the stick, and take my first puff. I'm rewarded with a sweet, peppery taste. MMMMM... Very nice. Draw on this cigar is absolutely flawless. The first third of the stick is done in short order. Good complex flavor, definitely on the upper end of medium bodied. The burn and draw continue to be absolutely flawless. At the 2/3 point, the flavor continues to be excellent. Some notes of a toasted nut flavor mixed in with the sweet pepepry flavor. Sadly, I'm done with the cigar. A wonderful experience. Excellent flavor throughout, and perfect burn. The Rating
| Flavor: | 9/10 | Excellent flavor and complexity throughout.
| | Draw: | 10/10 | Basically flawless draw. Lots of billowy white smoke. | | Construction: | 9/10 | Gorgeous cigar, some veininess | | Overall: | 9/10 | A great cigar, excellent flavor and a truly great cigar smoking experience. |
This was a fantastic cigar, especially for the price. An even draw, great looking and subtle flavorings. Worht a rebuy for me. |
