Thanks to our friends from Duque cigar company for providing this fine cigar to evaluate. ![]() Rocky Patel Decade
![]() Rocky Patel Decade Initial Thoughts First off, let me say that I'm a little prejudiced when it comes to Rocky Patel cigars. I don't think I've smoked one yet that I haven't absolutely and thoroughly enjoyed. This box pressed beauty comes by way of Duque cigars. So.... Visually, this smoke looks absolutely awesome. The wrapper is a little veiny, I don't see any soft spots or indications of any issues with construction. Smelling the stick... wow... smells slightly peppery, sweet and a little earthy. I'll preface this by saying that I'm feeling a little "blah" today, so I've got the one and only Etta James playing as I'm doing this review. The Smoke Without further ado, I've used my punch cutter on the head, and toasted the foot. First couple of puffs rewards me with a sweet, somewhat leathery flavor. The draw on this cigar is very easy, and each puff produces plenty of billowy white, aromatic smoke. Just a hint of a peppery flavor adds to the complexity. I'm not quite to the 1/3rd point, but I will say that the cigar is definitely medium to full bodied, has excellent complexity and the draw is what I would consider to be perfect. At the 2/3rd point, the cigar develops a little bit more flavor, burn and drawn continue to be perfect. I have to say, this is one very tasty, very smooth cigar! And I'm done... This cigar was a true pleasure to smoke. The Rating
