![]() Cienfuegos Aged Piramide Initial Thoughts The wrapper on this cigar looks like something that my 4 year old daughter would have constructed out of paper mache. Lots of veininess in the wrapper, and several thumb sized soft spots were observed. The cigar smells somewhat "earthy" and a little sweet. The Smoke I clip the end of the cigar, insuring that I don't take off too much. I toast the foot, light the cigar and take my first puff. Not bad... nice peppery, robust flavor, with a slightly sweet finish. The draw is easy, and the cigar produces quite a bit of billowy white smoke. At the 1/3 point, the robust flavor mellows a little, but continues to be nice and complex. The burn is starting to get a little uneven. At the 2/3 point, the cigar is actually starting to fall apart, and I'm not happy about this at all. The wrapper actually started to "unwind" on me, and I clipped off only a very small portion of the end. Flavor is good, with decent complexity. The burn is uneven, and I actually had to relight the cigar to try and even things out. Finishing the cigar, I'm decidedly unimpressed. Reading what the CI site claims, this cigar should epitomize the capabilites of Rolando Reyes, Sr. I'll agree with that analysis in terms of the blend, but construction-wise, this is a piece of shit. Why waste time and money on a cigar that literally falls apart as you smoke it? Cigar smoking should be an enjoyable experience, not one of disappointment. The Rating
