Initial Thoughts

Typically, I don't review cigarillos or small cigars.  I'm making an exception, because this happens to be a CAO Brazillia, allegedly one of the better smokes out there.  I had this stick while taking a quick break at work to relieve some stress.  I'm actually writing this review after the fact, while outside puffing on a Ghurka X3, which I inadvertantly dropped and cracked the wrapper, so it is in fact exploding and disintegrating as I smoke it.

At any rate, the Brazillia: Smells VERY good -- earthy tones, looks choclatey dark brown.  I would call it "Oscuro" in color, but I suspect that it has more to do with the Brazillian wrapper than anything else.  The wraper is nothing short of gorgeous -- no observable blemishes, no soft spots that I can find.

The Smoke

I clip the cigar, and fire it up with my handy dandy flame-thrower lighter.  The first puff is FULL of flavor.  I'm actually surprised that this amount of flavor comes from such a small package... reminds me of this time I dated a gal who was 4'11".... damn... anyway.  My initial thoughts were something like "If this is what a femto-cigar tastes like, I wonder what its bigger brothers taste like."

I'm not going to babble on about every third of the cigar, because quite frankly, it only lasts about 15 minutes.  Those 15 minutes are absolutely chock full of flavor and complexity.  Near perfect burn, and consistent flavor that starts out in the lower end of full/high end of medium and stays there.  Not a hint of bitterness or spiceyness.  Smooth, earthy, leathery taste.  I have to say, this is a damned good cigar, perfect for having when you need to clear your head.

The Rating

Flavor:
10/10
Full flavor, excellent complexity.
Draw:
10/10
Nice draw, producing a decent amount of smoke.
Construction:
9/10
Excellent construction, minor issue with uneven burn.
Overall:
9/10
This small cigar (petite coronoa(?)) was absolutely wonderful.  I would highly recommend it for those occasions where you just want some fairly brief smoking pleasure.
No. 1 :
Oh, I've smoked many of these in the larger ring and recommend you do the same. On my top 10 non Cuban and maybe my favorite CAO. If you enjoy a hardy flavor bomb this is one. Of course if you are a strong cigar smoker you probably have already had one of these magnificent cigars.Between 50-54 ring is best.
