Welcome Stogie Lovers!

If you've ever read a cigar review and thought to yourself 'what the F*** is that guy spewing?', then you've come to the right place! Here at this site, we are real world, non-yacht-owning, ordinary Joe's who'll give you the low-down and honest reviews of popular (and not so popular) cigars. You won't find a bunch of foo-foo descriptions frequently found in the established and snooty cigar review outlets, nor will you find the typical snow-job descriptions dreamed up by enterprising cigar resellers. Get ready for brutal honesty; there's no blowing smoke up your skirt here!Never fear, we will not be swayed or influenced -- but we do welcome free samples for review-only purposes!More reviews are comin'... don't dispair.I apologize for the dearth of reviews. I've got three new sticks on deck, one of which will be published this weekend :). Dang I hate it when life happens !All user-contributed content is subject to review and editing, to insure topical content and to maintain site style. If published, author will retain copyright. User reviews will not be used for any other purpose than for display on this site and in the RSS feed.

Partagas 150

There are certain things that one should instinctively know when one hits the humidor at the local tobacconist, or elsewhere. Specifically, when purchasing a $65.00 stick, its typically not a good idea to have the wife there. Face it, unless she is incredibly understanding, or you happen to be mondo-flush with cash, most women are going to say How the hell do you justify that?

Gurkha Beauty

There are times in life, where one is compelled to splurge. I found out today that I was awarded a special award from the company I work for, so I decided to celebrate this evening with a $145.00 bottle of scotch and a $30.00 cigar. The good news for me, is that this cigar was safely ensconced in a hermetically sealed tube, so even if the humidor from which it came from was at 78%, this stick is safely oblivious to that. According to my friendly (yet over-humidifying) tobacconist, the Beauty has well aged tobacco in it (he claims 20 years). It should pair nicely with the barely legal Macallan 18 year old that I've purchased.

Bad Dog Cigars Robusto

If there was EVER a compelling reason to start smoking cigars, Bad Dog cigars has the incentive package to beat all incentive packages with their current poster promotion. As Jack Nicholson said it best that girl's enough to put steam in a man's stride. I mean seriously! And no, the above picture ain't the poster I'm talkin' about. It can be found here (http://www.baddogcigars.com/collectables_posters.php) :).

Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniv Champagne

Ever have one of those days, where it was absolutely gorgeous outside.... the Gods weep, the earth moves... its absolutely that fantastic? Then ever have one of those moments where ya coulda made the right decision... butcha didn't, and the rest of the day proceeds to acquire major suck factor.... we're talkin' F5 tornado kinda suckage. Well, if not, may ya never have one of those days. If you have, well, know that there are few things a good cigar and fair ta middlin' scotch can't solve. I happen to hopefully be in posession of both, with one only Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary Champage, and a seriously strong belt of Bowmore Islay Single Malt Scotch.

Thinkin' outside the box! Once again, this being the year of change and whatnot, I thought I'd take a foray into the unknown. The last time I was at my local cigar shop, I saw these rather non-descript boxes in a bin by the bargain/bulk cigars, and thought I'd give it a shot.

Clearly not a cigar youd take to the TPC in Scottsdale, AZ, but hey... yardgar... executive course... who knows? Clearly not a pretentious cigar, and given the name, this may be a venture to new lows for Dan.

So... given that this is a new year, and given the present state of the economy, and also given that I'm all about second chances, I thought I'd try these. I had an absolutely horrid experience with a bundle of these previously reviewed.
